Lewis Hines had a large impact on reforming laws regarding child labor because he was a photographer and he would often photograph pictures of the hardships many families and children were going through during that time.

Kids at that time even worked in coal mines which are very, very dangerous and if I remember right, he was able to get a picture of the children at work, covered in black dust from the coal mines.

His pictures are shocking and once again, like I stated before, child labor is an ongoing problem in other countries.  Its very sad

Many immigrants faced not having a job in their new location, not being accepted by the people around you, and not being able to support themselves. Most had little to nothing because many fled to escape war. The living conditions in many camps outside of their home country were also possibly in terrible condition.
