A feedback loop is a mechanism which is used to maintain homeostasis. Homeostasis is a process by which organisms keep internal conditions constant even there are changes in the external environment. In simple terms a feedback loop checks and balances system within the body to keep hormone levels as required. Let’s understand this with an example: When your body temperature increases, certain receptors detect the change and send a message to the hypothalamus of brain it stimulates the sweat gland to produce more sweat which gives cooling effect to the body and brings body temperature to normal.

How are babies made and how long it takes for the baby to form in the mothers belly
Gnom [1K]
For women, the possibility of pregnancy begins in the ovaries. A woman is born with 1 to 2 million eggs, more than a lifetime's supply. The eggs begin dying off almost immediately and she never produces more. The average egg lives only about 24 hours, so it has to be fertilized soon for pregnancy to happen. If it doesn't get fertilized on time, it either dissolves or is absorbed by the body. When an egg is fertilized, its own genetic material and the genetic material of the sperm that got to the egg first combine to create a new cell that starts dividing rapidly. A woman isn't actually pregnant until that new bundle of cells (called the embryo) travels down the fallopian tube and attaches to the wall of the woman's uterus. The average pregnancy lasts for 38 weeks from the date you conceive (called conception). However, doctors usually date your pregnancy from the first day of the woman's last menstrual period. Using this method, a pregnancy is said to last 40 weeks, or 280 days.

The probability that they both were planted alone is 0.3325.

What is genetic probability?

Probability serves to mathematically estimate the possibility of events that happen by chance, that is, as a matter of luck.

In this case:

 • Number of plants planted alone = 134
 • P(both plants were planted alone) = 134/232 x 133/231 = 0.3325

So the probability that both were planted alone is 0.3325.

Is neon different from oxygen? And how is it different? Please explain.
EleoNora [17]

Neon is a member of the noble gas family. Other elements in this family includes helium, argon, krypton, xenon, and radon. These gases are in Group 18 (VIIIA) of the periodic table. The periodic table is a chart that shows how chemical elements are related to each other. The noble gases are sometimes called the inert gases. This name comes from the fact that these elements do not react very readily. In fact, compounds exist for only three noble gases—krypton, radon, and xenon. Chemists have yet to prepare compounds of helium, neon, or argon.

Neon was discovered in 1898 by British chemists William Ramsay (1852-1916) and Morris Travers (1872-1961). It occurs naturally in the atmosphere, but only in very small amounts.
