Solve it separately
5x-29 \ \textgreater \ -34

add 29 to both sides then divide by 5
x\ \textgreater \ -1
for the second part
2x+31\ \textless \ 29
subtract 31 from both sides then divide by two
x\ \textless \ -1
which means the final answer is A
x\ \textless \ -1 \\ or \\ x\ \textgreater \ -1

Naddik [55]

Answer:

2.5 gallons of the 20% solution must be replaced by the 36% solution.

Step-by-step explanation:

2.4 - .12x + .36x = 3

2.4 - .24x = 3
