The agriculture of Portugal can be described as A) Small and inefficient farms; Must import most of its food. Most farms in Portugal are small and poorly mechanized. This is largely due the fact that agriculture is traditionally viewed as hard work with little pay and because of this viewpoint farming has not had an emphasis placed on it in Portugal.
