Two angles are complementary. They are also congruent. Which statement is correct? The two angles are obtuse. The two angles are
Nataly [62]

Answer:

the two angles are 45 degrees.

Step-by-step explanation:

if two angles are complementary that means they add up to 90.

⇒obtuse angles are greater than 90 but less than 180 so they can't be the answer.

⇒right angle is 90 degree. 90+90≠90

⇒the sum of the two angles can't be 180 but 90.

⇒if the two angles are 45 degree then there sum will be equal to 90.

   45+45=90

Asharia ran 9miles with her friend Mallory last week. This is 60% of the distance she ran all week. How far did she run last wee
Pachacha [2.7K]
9 miles is = 60% of the distance she ran all the week.

9 =  60% of  x.
9 =  0.60 * x.
0.6 x  =  9 .  Divide both sides by 0.6.

x =  9 / 0.6
x = 15.
Total distance =  15 miles.

S varies inversely as G. If S is 4 when G is 1.8, find S when G is 6.
Reika [66]

Given that "S" varies inversely as "G", it is an Inverse Variation Relationship. Then, it has this form:

S=\frac{k}{G}

Where "k" is the Constant of Variation.

Knowing that:

S=4

When:

G=1.8

You can substitute values and solve for "k":

\begin{gathered} 4=\frac{k}{1.8} \\  \\ (4)(1.8)=k \\  \\ k=7.2 \end{gathered}

Then, the equation that models the situation is:

S=\frac{7.2}{G}

Substituting this value of "G" into the equation and evaluating:

G=6

You get:

S=\frac{7.2}{6}=1.2

Hence, the answer is:

S=1.2

Find the value of each variable. Write your answer in simplest radical form.
san4es73 [151]

Answer:

y=4\sqrt{3}

x=2\sqrt{21}

Step-by-step explanation:

The diagram is shown in the attachment.

By the altitude -leg rule :

\frac{14-8}{y}=\frac{y}{8}

This implies that:

\frac{6}{y}=\frac{y}{8}

By cross multiplication:

y^2=6*8\\\implies y^2=16*3

Take square root to get:

y=\sqrt{16*3}

y=4\sqrt{3}

Using the Pythagoras Theorem:

x^2=6^2+(\sqrt{48})^2

x^2=36+48

x^2=84

x=2\sqrt{21}

How to round to the nearest cent
DaniilM [7]
Since there are 100 cents in a dollar, routing to the nearest cent would be rounding to the nearest hundredth. In order to do that you would solve to the thousandths place the use that number to round up or down to the nearest hundredth.

For example:

If a dozen roses cost $12.35, how much does each rose cost?

12.35 ÷ 12 = 1.029

The 9 is in the thousandths place. If it is 5 or higher we round the hundredths place up, so our answer is each rose costs 1 dollar and 3 cents ($1.03)
