This is a problem where you should make an equation.
Let's say x is the first week. It would mean
First Week : x
Second Week : x + 5
Third Week : 2(x+5)
You need to add these up to make your equation. Your equation will look something like this :
x+x+5+2(x+5) = 431
Now you simplify.
2x+5+2x+10 = 431
4x+15 = 431
4x = 416
x = 104
That means they sold 104 Boxes in the First Week.
104+5=109
So they sold 109 Boxes the Second Week.
109 x 2 = 218
And they sold 218 Boxes the Third Week.

I hope I was useful!

The three angles of a triangle create the extended ratio 2:2:5. What is the measure of the largest angle?
Dima020 [189]

Answer:

100°

Step-by-step explanation:

The ratio of angles of the triangle is 2:2:5. We know that the angle sum property of the triangle is 180°. So that , let the ratio be 2x : 2x : 5x .

=> 2x + 2x + 5x = 180°

=> 9x = 180°

=> x = 180°/9

=> x = 20°

Here the largest ratio is 5x . Therefore the largest Angle is ,

=> Largest Angle = 5x

=> Largest Angle = 5 × 20°

=> Largest Angle = 100°

• Hence the largest Angle is 100°

One percent of 540 is 5.4 (540\100) now divide 567 by that number which gives you 105% take the original 100% away, it's an increase of 5%

A rectangle has a length of 32feet less than 8 times its width. If the area of the rectangle is 96 square feet, find the length
lesantik [10]

L = 8w-32

w(8w-32) = 96

8x^2 - 32w - 96 = 0

w^2 - 4w - 12 = 0

(w - 6)(w + 2 ) = 0

w+2=0 results in negative measures

w-6=0 ---> w = 6

width is 6

length is 8(6) - 32 = 48-32 = 16
