Work out the point of intersection of the lines<br> 2x + 3y = 11 and 2y = 13 – 3x
borishaifa [10]

Answer:

x = 3.4

y = 1.4

Step-by-step explanation:

2x + 3y = 11

2y = 13 – 3x, then y = (13 - 3x)/2

substitute for y:

2x + 3((13 - 3x)/2) = 11

reduce:

2x + (39 - 9x)/2 = 11

reduce:

2x + 19.5 - 4.5x = 11

subtract 19.5 from both sides of the equation and combine for x:

-2.5x = -8.5

divide both sides by -2.5:

x = 3.4

y = (13 - 3(3.4))/2 = (13 - 10.2)2 = 1.4

Paper 3 Foundation Practice Questions. Monday 13th June 2022
erica [24]
All you have to do is divide the number by the denominator which is 8. So 510 divided by 8.

Which will give you 63.75.

Then you times it by the numerator which is 3 so 63.75 x 3

And you are left with £191.25 which is 3/8 of 510

Integrate the following. ∫<img src="https://tex.z-dn.net/?f=84dx" id="TexFormula1" title="84dx" alt="84dx" align="absmiddle" cla
bogdanovich [222]

Answer:

\displaystyle \int {84} \, dx = 84x + C

General Formulas and Concepts:

<u>Calculus</u>

Integration

  • Integrals
  • Definite/Indefinite Integrals
  • Integration Constant C

Integration Rule [Reverse Power Rule]:                                                               \displaystyle \int {x^n} \, dx = \frac{x^{n + 1}}{n + 1} + C

Integration Property [Multiplied Constant]:                                                         \displaystyle \int {cf(x)} \, dx = c \int {f(x)} \, dx

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>Step 1: Define</u>

<em>Identify</em>

\displaystyle \int {84} \, dx

<u>Step 2: Integrate</u>

  1. [Integral] Rewrite [Integration Property - Multiplied Constant]:                 \displaystyle \int {84} \, dx = 84\int {} \, dx
  2. [Integral] Reverse Power Rule:                                                                     \displaystyle \int {84} \, dx = 84x + C
