Answer:

The answer for each requirement is given separately below.

Explanation:

What is the economic production quantity (EPQ)?

EPQ = ((Annual Requirement * setup cost *2)/Carrying cost per unit)^(1/2)

         = ((30,000 * 50 *2)/3^(1/2)

         = 1000 Units

a. What is the average inventory level for this optimum production quantity?

Average Inventory level = EPQ/2 = 500 units

b. How many production setups would there be in a year?

Production setups = Annual Usage /EPQ = 30 set ups

C. What is the optimal length of production run in days

length of production = Total Requirement/production per day

                                   = 30,000/275

                                   =110 days approx

d. What would be the savings in annual inventory Cost if setup costs can be reduced to US$40 per setup?

If set up cost reduce to $40  than EPQ = 895

So Set up cost = 30,000/ 895 * 40 = 1,360

Carrying cost = 883/2 *3                  = 1,325

Total Cost                                          = $ 2,685 -A

If set up cost  $50  than EPQ = 1000

So Set up cost = 30,000/ 1000 * 50   = 1,500

Carrying cost = 1000/2 *3                  = 1,500

Total Cost                                          = $ 3,000- B

Saving = B-A = 315 Dollars

Elis [28]

Answer:

8.038%

Explanation:

For the computation of the firm's WACC first we need to find out the cost of equity which is shown below:-

Cost of equity = Expected dividend ÷ (Price of the stock × (1 - Flotation cost)) + Growth rate

= $0.65 ÷ ($15.00 × (1 - 10%)) + 6.00%

= 10.81%

Now

WACC = Weight debt × (Cost of debt) × (1 - Tax rate) + Weight of equity × Cost of equity

= 45% × 7.75% × (1 - 40%) + 55% × 10.81%

= 8.038%

Last year, The Pizza Joint added $6,230 to retained earnings from sales of $104,650. The company had costs of $87,300, dividends
Dmitrij [34]

Answer:

$2,503 = Depreciation Expense

Explanation:

Net profit = $6,230 that is amount added to retained earnings.

Net profit = Sales - Cost - Depreciation - Interest - Taxes - Dividends

Sales = $104,650

Costs = $87,300

Interest = $1,620

Earnings before depreciation and taxes = $104,650 - $87,300 - $1,620 =  $15,730

Earnings after interest depreciation and taxes = $6,230 + $2,500 = Net profit + Dividend = $8,730

Therefore

(15,730 - Depreciation) - (15,730 - Depreciation) \times 34% = $8,730

$15,730 - Depreciation - ($5,348 - 0.34 Dep) = $8,730

$10,382 - 0.66 Depreciation = $8,730

$1,652 = 0.66 Depreciation

$2,503 = Depreciation Expense

Georgia [21]

Answer:

$100 billion

Explanation:

Real GDP is currently = $13.55 trillion

Potential real GDP = $14.0 trillion

Gap = $500 billion

Government purchases multiplier = 5.0

Tax multiplier = 4.0

To increase aggregate demand by $500 billion, the required increase in government expenditure is:

= (1 ÷ government purchases multiplier) × change in aggregate demand

= (1 ÷ 5) × $500

= $100 billion

Therefore, the government expenditure need to be increased by $100 billion.
