The belief system which saw all of creation as the Continuum with the man of the animal world was  what was called 'The Great Chain of Being'. Its fundamentals consist of the belief that everything in the universe has a specific place, and connects. Such as that as a chain and how orderly it is, how each section has a place and connects perfectly on a chain the universe does as well.
