It depends on what is wrong with the dam that's causing the problems for the fish. If the problem is pollution, you could take the weekend off to clean the dam. If the problem is too many predators, you could call an agency to kill/move the predators depending on what the predators are.

Answer;

As the problem would be that fishes were unable to migrate due to the obstruction caused by the dam, a possible solution would be looking to make a way for the fish to move upstream or downstream of the river. One possible way is through the fish tube, which they used to allow salmon fishes to swim upstream. See https://www.vox.com/2019/8/12/20801930/fish-tube-meme-whooshh-wfst-dams-environmental-impact Other possible ways would be to create holes or portals in the dam itself although that might reduce efficiency of the dam.

1. Based on your knowledge of how the greenhouse effect works, why does the level of carbon dioxide affect the global temperatur
vova2212 [387]

Answer:

1. Earth's temperature is maintained by re radiated infra red radiation by green green house gases and slightly by water vapors in atmosphere. These gases prevent heat from escaping to outer space, so are functionally comparable to glass panel of green house. Thus, this heating effect is referred to as green house effect. Carbon dioxide is a green house gas so increased amount of this gas in the atmosphere will result in increased atmospheric temperature and global warming.

2. Three sources of atmospheric carbon dioxide are:

 • Volcanic eruption
 • Respiration by plants and animals
 • Decomposition of organic substance.

Explanation:

 • Overall rise in temperature of the Earth due to excessive amount of green house gases in atmosphere that trap heat radiating from Earth's surface is called Global warming.
 • Global warming can cause melting of ice caps, alteration of seasons, destruction of forest and increase in deserts.
 • Green house gases include carbon dioxide, methane, ozone, nitrous oxide, and nitrogen dioxide etc.
 • Among all these gases Carbon dioxide is the major component that is responsible for global warming.
 • Carbon dioxide is added to the atmosphere by burning of fossil fuels, volcanic eruption and respiration. But Burning of fossil fuels itself adds about 18 X 10¹² tonnes of CO₂ anually.
 • Global warming has become a major environmental concern now and needs to be controlled immediately.

How can the environment affect population size?
Vikki [24]

If the environment gets polluted or treated poorly, than there will be less animals. If the environment grows a bunch of grass however, there will be more animals eating the grass which increases the population. But if they run out of grass, then the animals die.
