Essay- Do you believe that Abraham Lincoln was influential in ending slavery?
Leviafan [203]

Answer:

I do think Abraham Lincoln was influential in ending slavery. He signed the Emancipation Proclamation. But slave masters did not let their slaves know this. In Galveston, slaves were not told until years later they were free. Abraham Licoln could have sent forces down south to let them go.

Abraham Lincoln did not start the Civil War, the South did. The reason was because they had to let slaves go. Slaves did much work for them, so they did not want to let them go. This was very angry for slaves. They wanted to protest but they couldnt.
