Do you think the townspeople in "a rose for emily" bear any responsibility for what becomes of emily?

I think that townspeople feel responsible for what becomes of Emily. The reason is that though they  disapprove most of Emily’s actions, such as refusing to pay her taxes and purchasing poison, nobody stops her. As Emilily is an inaccesible woman it is really difficult for the townspeople to take care of her and they leave her alone, on her own way, without any help.

(1) Water is something most of us take for granted. (2) If we need a cold drink or want to take a shower, water is there. (3) If
masha68 [24]
The answer should be A. This is because the other sentences don't need any word except for the first word in its sentence.

In the answer choice A, partners in Water partners should be capitalized because it is an organization. Therefore the sentence should be...
"<span>It was started in 2009 by actor Matt Damon and Gary White, the co-founder of Water Partners."</span>

2. Identify all of the COMMON nouns in the following sentence. The kings 4 points
Pie

Answer:

City, laws, justice, kings.

Explanation:

To answer this question, you must first know what a <u>noun</u> is, which is a person, place, or thing. Look through the list, and you will find out that <u>expected</u> is not a person, place, or thing; it is a verb.

Now you're left with Mesopotamia, city, laws, justice, and kings. A quick tip amongst nouns is that <em>capitalized</em> and <em>eponymous</em> (something that is given a name to) nouns are most probably proper nouns, which is not what we're looking for here. Cross out <u>Mesopotamia</u>, and you are finished.

Hope this helps! :)
