Which excerpt from Carl Sandburg’s "The Wedding Procession of the Rag Doll and the Broom Handle and Who Was in It" includes repe

tition and alliteration?
The last of all in the wedding procession of the Rag Doll and the Broom Handle were the Sleepyheads. They were smiling and glad to be marching but their heads were slimpsing down and their smiles were half fading away and their eyes were half shut or a little more than half shut.

They marched with big bowls of soup in front of them and big spoons for eating the soup. They whistled and chuzzled and snozzled the soup and the noise they made

The second excerpt contains repetition and alliteration. Sandburg uses repetition of the words "big" and "soup" in this passage, which assists in the use of imagery (we, as readers, can picture the Sleepyheads eating soup out of big bowls with big spoons).

Sandburg uses alliteration of words that begin with B such as "big bowls", and the letter S, such as "snozzled" and "soup". He also uses alliteration to aid in the formation of a scene for the reader by using the "zz" sound of the words "chuzzled and snozzled". Although these are not real words, the reader can practically hear the noises that the Sleepyheads make as they eat their soup.

Answer:

"They were smiling and glad to be marching but their heads were slimpsing down and their smiles were half fading away and their eyes were half shut or a little more than half shut."

Explanation:

This is the excerpt that includes repetition and alliteration. Repetition refers to the presence of the same group of words several times within a text. In this sentence the author repeats the phrase "half shut" twice. Moreover, the author uses alliteration, which refers to the repetition of a consonant sound at the beginning of several words close together. In this case, the author repeats the sound "s" in several words, such as "smiling," "slimpsing" and "smiles."

So personally I agree with Emerson in his statement because in our current society there is this standard for people to fit into this tiny mold of how someone should be. My motto is if everyone was the same the world would be boring, so I personally believe that we all need to be our own people in order to make our lives and others interesting. So yes I agree with Emerson.

Answer:

Explanation:

George Washington was a Great General,a Great Leader and a great first president. He proved loyal in all of his ways and always he did what was needed.Although he had fake teeth.

George Washington was a great General. When he went into war,he always went in and never stopped until his side if the team won.Although he might have had a few losses of war.George Washington would clearly be a very good general because of his leadership position. But not just because of his position, but because of how he acted.

George Washington became a great leader in many ways.George Washington was the kind that didn't care too much about what he was or what he looked like.He proved a good leader for his people because he didn't care about himself .He cared for other people, their freedom and such as.

George Washington was a great first president too!He was a role model for other presidents too!George was the one who thought of the name "president".So it occurs that he might have had a lot of great ideas or he might have not .Either way it doesn't really matter,George Washington was a great first role model.

And about those dental teeth................................................................

George Washington lost his teeth when he was young due to either bad diet or a disease. It wasn't very easy to keep your teeth at such a old time.About the time when he almost died,he had only one tooth left in his mouth!!So pretty obviously he wore dentures.Hard Dentures.

General President Leader Washington was a good leader no matter his name.
