Answer: 21 hours

Step-by-step explanation: If you find out all the hours in between it would be 9 hours on Monday, 6 hours on Tuesday, 5 hours and 30 mins on Thursday, and that random 30 mins. If we add that all up we get 9 hours + 6 hours + 5 hours + 1 hours ( take the 30 mins from Thursday and that awkward 30 min lunch break ). Simplify it ALL out and we get 10 hours + 11 hours, which come out to a grand total of 21 hours. HOPE THIS HELPS :)

a movie theater charges $8 for adults and $5 for children. If there were 40 people altogether and theater collected $272
Veseljchak [2.6K]

Answer: You can put this solution on YOUR website!

let's call the number of adults a and the number of children c.

so the total adults plus the total children equals 40 or a+c=40 or c=40-a

also we know that 8a+5c=272

substituting c's value in the 1st equation into the 2nd equation we get

8a+5(40-a)=272---->lets distribute that left side---->8a+200-5a=272

now let's combine like terms on either side of the equals sign.

3a=72 a=24

so we have highlight%2824-adults%29

and c=40-a(24)=highlight%2816-children%29

Unit 1 topic 4 geometry
Phantasy [73]
Since this is an isosceles triangle (indicated by the two tick marks on the sides), we know that the base angles are congruent, and we therefore know that x = 30 degrees.

Since interior angles of a triangle always add to equal 180 degrees, we can find y using the following equation:

180 = 30 + 30 + y
180 = 60 + y
120 = y

We can further deduce that z also equals 24, since, as stated before, the two sides with the tick marks are congruent.

Answer:
x = 30 degrees
y = 120 degrees
z = 24

What is the greatest possible error when measuring to the nearest quarter of an inch
cestrela7 [59]
Using a scale that has increments that are somewhat large, you could get an error if you reach half of the measuring unit. This is because when you arrive at a measurement greater than half of the measuring unit, you would have to round it up. Therefore, the greatest possible error when measuring to the nearest quarter of an inch is 1/8 inch.                                                                The greatest possible error when measuring to the nearest quarter of an inch is how the reader reads the measurement. Sometimes, we base our answers to what we can see and what we see may be different from others.
