Read these sentences from the story: "Now the head-man of these Russians was Ivan. He it was, with his two thumbs, who drove out

the eyes of Kinoos. He it was who fought his way through the white water, with two men left of all his men, and went away along the rim of the Great Fog Sea into the north." Which sentence best explains the central idea of this section of the story?

Read the first stanza of "The Shepherd" by William Blake.
harkovskaia [24]

Answer: The rhyming words link the ideas that the Shepherd spends a lot of time with the sheep and speaks highly of them.

Explanation:

The rhyming words or the two sentences with Rhyme in them are,

From the morn to the evening he stays;

And his tongue shall be filled with praise

The first line shows that the Shepard spends a alot of time with the sheep. He is with them every day for the whole day morning to evening which is a lot of time to spend with his sheep and he does not seem to mind this because his mouth is always filled with praise. When you praise something you speak highly of it. These two rhymes therefore show that the Shepard spends a lot of time with his sheep and speaks highly of them.

What is a parable?
Mkey [24]

The answer is option B "A short story set firmly in reality told to illustrate a moral or religious lesson." Parables are made strictly for religious or moral lessons for example bible stories for children or any other religious principle made to tell their beliefs to another person. Short stories are also good examples of parables because they have a moral that they want the reader to take to heart and learn.

Hope this helps.
