Answer the following question in 3-4 complete sentences. A large bird flying over a rock in a room. On either side of the room i
maks197457 [2]

Question One- What type of medium was used to create this piece?

Question Two- How were the different values achieved?

Question Three- What makes this medium challenging?

One- In a fine art context, "art medium" refers to the art materials or artist supplies used to create a work of art. Basically, it's whatever you use to make a mark upon a surface. So, since this drawing appears to have been drawn with a pencil, that would be your answer.

Two- A value, in art, defines how light or dark a given color or hue can be. This drawing defines, or highlights, the certain parts of the bird. Such as, the beak, tail, wings, and the tip of its head. Along with the background, the rock and the part where the shadows come into play. This was achieved by shading the parts where the artist wants it to be highlighted. Rather like a spotlight.

Three- The disadvantages of using the pencil medium:

1. Drawing is generally slower than most other mediums.

2. You can't easily do a wash of value or color, like you can with oils or watercolors.

3. You can't layer colors with pencils like you can with oils or acrylics.

4. It's difficult to correct mistakes. You can't simply paint over them or sand them off and get a re-do.

Simply put, the answers to your questions are these sentences.

The type of medium used was a pencil. The different values were achieved by highlighting the certain places the artist wanted to be more pronounced. And the medium used was challenging because of the slothful pace and its difficulty to correct missteps.
