The Latin American Wars of Independence were the revolutions that took place during the late 18th and early 19th centuries and resulted in the creation of a number of independent countries in Latin America. In the late 18th century Enlightenment ideas spread to Latin America. The success of the American Revolution showed that foreign rule could be thrown off. The French Revolution showed that the people could overthrow an unjust monarchy. These two events inspired revolutions in Latin America, which had profound effects on the Spanish, Portuguese and French colonies in the Americas. The results were the end of the colonial rule that had lasted 300 years.

The initial group included Attorney General Edmund Randolph, Secretary of State Thomas Jefferson, Secretary of War Henry Knox, and Secretary of Treasury Alexander Hamilton.

The Executive Branch of the government was created to carry out and enforce federal laws.

George Washington understood the value of a checks and balances system which would prevent any one branch of the government from having too much power.

Alex Ar [27]
Choice (a) is correct. To make an amendment to the Articles, all 13 states had to agree. This made amendments particularly difficult: any one state could derail the entire process. This is why the Articles failed after such a short time, to be replaced by the current Constitution.
