These are linear equations that can be solved simultaneously;
5m+3n=41
3m-6n=9 (multiplying the first equation by 3 and the second by 5)

15m+9n=123
15m-30n= 45 (subtracting the two equations)
         39n = 78
             n = 2,
and for m, 3m = 9+6(2)
                        = 21
                     m = 7
Therefore, n=2 and m=7

11. 8 * 18 = 144 in³, Option D

12. Half the height of 8 cm is 4 cm. Volume = 4 * 6 * 10 = 240 cm³, Option D

13. Double the dimensions you get 8 cm for the height, 6 cm for the radius. Then plug in. V = pi * (6)² * 8 >> pi * 36 * 8 = 288pi or ≈ 904.78, Option C

14. Half of all the dimensions are 1 in, 4 in, and 3 in. 1 * 4 * 3 = 12 in³, Option B

15. \frac{10}{16} =  \frac{x}{18} >> 16x = 180 >> x = 11.25 so Option B

16. Option D, 10 cm.

17. Option C, 8.5 in

18. Option B. 10.2 km

19. Option D. 0.82

20. cos 30 = b / 11.5 >> b = 11.5(cos (30)) = 9.96 m, Option C.

Sally has just finished her thirty-fifth year with her company and is getting ready to retire. During her thirty-five years, Sal
olya-2409 [2.1K]

The correct answer is:

$19,153.26.

Explanation:

She will receive 42% of her average annual salary. This salary was $45,603.

To find 42% of a number, we first convert the percent to a decimal: 42% = 42/100 = 0.42.

Next we multiply this by the number we're taking the percent of:

0.42(45603) = 19153.26.

Which line represents the direct variation equation y = 1/2x?
Verdich [7]

Answer:

C.

Step-by-step explanation:

y = 1/ x must pass through the origin because when x = 0, y = 0.

So its either B or C.

A positive slope rises to the right ( 1/2 is positive), so its C.

You can also see that the slope of C is 1/2 because it passes through the points (0.0) and (2, 1).

Which equation illustrates the identity property of multiplication? (a + bi) × c = (ac + bci) (a + bi) × 0 = 0 (a + bi) × (c + d
labwork [276]

Answer:

(a + bi) \times 1 = (a + bi)

Step-by-step explanation:

The identity property means that whatever you put in is whatever comes out. Notice that if we multiply 1 with any number, we get that number back. So multiplying by 1 is the identity property of multiplication.
