History

The forces used by the Christian or Latin leaders in Syria were formed from a conglomeration of sources. Both the feudal system and changing conditions throughout the crusades made this necessary. The knights as discussed in the topic page on chivalry composed one portion of the army. It is important, however, to realize that while their influence remained important in the military tactics of the crusader states, their numbers dwindled towards the end of the crusades as the idea of the knight became increasingly associated with nobility and heredity of the title. When the influence of the knights was the weakest, other sources were found to supplement the knight in the army.

What best describes Yugoslavia before its breakup?
yaroslaw [1]
The answer is Yugoslavia was a Socialist state created after German occupation in World War II and a civil war. A federation of six republics, it brought together Serbs, Croats, Bosnian Muslims, Albanians, Slovenes and others under a comparatively relaxed communist regime. Tensions between these groups were successfully suppressed under the leadership of President Tito. After his death, nationalism tore Yugoslavia apart. Tensions between the republics and nations of Yugoslavia intensified from the 1970s to the 1980s. The causes for the collapse of the country have been associated with nationalism, ethnic conflict, economic difficulty, frustration with government bureaucracy, the influence of important figures in the country, and international politics.

Battle of Antietam gave Lincoln the confidence to order the emancipation of the slaves.

Lincoln first discussed the Proclamation with his cabinet in July 1862. He believed he needed a Union victory on the battlefield to make his decision positive. The Battle of Antietam, in which Union forces rejected the Confederate invasion of Maryland, gave him the opportunity to issue a preliminary proclamation on September 22, 1862.

Explanation:

 • Final Proclamation was issued On January 1, 1863, when the President of United States, Abraham Lincoln, issued the Emancipation Proclamation, one of the most important documents in American history.
 • The proclamation proclaimed freedom for all slaves in the states who fought against the Union.
 • Perhaps the most significant effect of the Emancipation Proclamation was to extend the purpose of the American Civil War. The document made it clear that the war was not fought solely for the sake of rebuilding the Union by accepting the southern states governed by slavery, but also for the complete abolition of slavery.
