During the red giant phase, a main sequence star's core collapses and burns helium into carbon. After about 100 million years, the helium runs out, and the star turns into a red supergiant.

Why is it crucial to be aware of and respect the environment?
svet-max [94.6K]
It is crucial to be aware of and respect the environment because you live off of it. Our earth provides us air, energy, food, and the resources we need to live. When we don't keep our environment clean, and disrespect it, it won't be in as good condition as it should be, and could potentially die out from being mistreated. We need to be aware of our environment to know what we need to do to cater to its needs, so it can cater to ours.

ikadub [295]

Answer:

If we could magically look down on our solar system, we would see that the half of the Moon facing the Sun is always lit. But the lit side does not always face the Earth!
