The two ways by which reflex reactions helps in the maintenance of homeostasis in the human body is by <u>maintaining the breathing and by recognition of discomfort.</u>

Homeostasis is a process which involves the state of internal and chemical conditions maintained by living systems.

Further Explanation:

The automatic, subconscious responses are called reflex reaction that changes within the body. There are two ways by which reflex actions helps in the maintenance of homeostasis in the human body are,

  • By the maintenance of breathing: By maintaining breathing is also serves as a reflex reaction for maintenance of homeostasis in the human body.  The respiratory system is composed of lung, bronchi and further subdivision that are involved in the gaseous exchange. The alveoli is the tiny sac present in the lung which helped in the gases exchange  In this process, alveoli diffuse oxygen into the blood and resorp carbon dioxide from the blood.
  • By the recognition of discomfort level: In this process, the reflex action passes the message to the CNS that body movement causes discomfort and CNS analyse the message and convey it back to its actual site. When the person touches any hot object, the <u>sensory nerves</u> cells present in hands receive the signal and transfer it to the brain where brain analyse it and send the response through <u>motor neuron</u> to remove the hand.

<span>Two ways in which reflexes help to maintain homeostasis in the human body include;
1. The corneal reflex which allows blinking of an eye and when to close the eye. 2. Stretch reflex it allows muscles to hold up our body and as well maintain posture.
 Homeostasis has a tendency of organisms to maintain and autoregulate their internal environment into stable condition. Its stable condition is when fluid-balance or body temperature are being kept at a certain pre-set limits.</span>

How do our bodies have so many different types of cells with different functions?
Rainbow [258]

Answer:

Humans are multicellular, complex organisms. The cells inside our bodies are “specialized.” This means that each type of cell performs a unique and special function. For this reason, each of the 200 different types of cells in the body has a different structure, size, shape, and function, and contains different organelles.

For example:

Cells in the brain may be longer in shape so they can transmit signals more efficiently.

Cells of the heart have more mitochondria because they need a lot of energy.

Cells in the respiratory system are responsible for taking up oxygen and releasing carbon dioxide.

All the cells work together to keep the human body running efficiently.
