Jane is a patient. her brother greg has neuronal ceroid lipofuscinosis, also known as batten disease. it is autosomal recessive,

and its symptoms include vision loss, loss of coordination, dementia and seizures. jane is healthy as are her parents and grandparents. jane is thinking of having children. she wants to know what the probability is her child would be a carrier for batten disease (in other words, the probability that jane is a carrier and that her child will inherit the recessive allele). since batten disease is very rare, we will assume that the father of jane's child is not affected nor a carrier.

MrRissso [65]
There are differences between Eukaryotic and Prokaryotic cells. This difference is considered to be the most important distinction between groups of organisms.

A Prokaryotic cell does not contain a nucleus. It only contains one chromosome and is a single-celled organism. It was the only form of life on earth for millions of years. Examples of a Prokaryotic cell are the different types of bacteria present today.

What percent of the moon is covered by dark areas?
Gwar [14]

Answer:

Those spots are called maria, from the Latin word for sea, because early astronomers mistakenly thought they were lunar seas (they're actually volcanic plains). The smooth and dark maria cover 17 percent of the surface of the moon. Almost all of them are visible from Earth
