Read this excerpt from The Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum, and then answer the question that follows. When Dorothy was left alone

she began to feel hungry. So she went to the cupboard and cut herself some bread, which she spread with butter. She gave some to Toto, and taking a pail from the shelf she carried it down to the little brook and filled it with clear, sparkling water. Toto ran over to the trees and began to bark at the birds sitting there. Dorothy went to get him, and saw such delicious fruit hanging from the branches that she gathered some of it, finding it just what she wanted to help out her breakfast. Then she went back to the house, and having helped herself and Toto to a good drink of the cool, clear water, she set about making ready for the journey to the City of Emeralds. What point of view is used in the excerpt?

Answer: 4/27

Explanation:

From the question, we are informed that Rema spent 6 days reading her book, completing the same fraction of the book each day and that she read a total of 8/9.

The fraction of the book that she read each day would be:

= 8/9 ÷ 6

= 8/9 × 1/6

= 8/54

= 4/27

She read a fraction of 4/27 each day

In Chapter 28 of Moby-ick, the ailment of mankind which is best symbolized by Ahab’s plight is obsession with the past.

One of the important theme in the novel “Moby-ick” is about the relationship between nature and man. The novel is about a man, Ahab, who goes out in the natural world to disturb the balance of nature by killing the animals.
