It is important to read crtically the works of early historians because they provide so much information. Inside the works are stories that have been told and information that is really important dating back to our ancestors. These works have so many benfits and the more you read it creates a gigantic puzzle when you put all of the information together.
I suppose it made the free states and slave states in some way even. When Missouri became a slave state they kept the north end of the Louisiana purchase free stated and banned slavery there.
