F(x) = 10 - 4x

You must know that f(x) is technically "y" (the right side of the ( not this place ,this place ) )

A) (2, -18)

f(x) = 10 - 4x
-18 = 10 - 4(2)
WRONG!!

B) (18, -2)
f(x) = 10 - 4x
-2 = 10 - 4(18)
WRONG!!

C) (-2, 18)
f(x) = 10 - 4x
18 = 10 - 4(-2)
18 = 10 + 8       (two negatives numbers multiplied together=positive number)
18 = 18

Correct!

your answer is <span>C

Rename 2/5 and 1/2 using the least common denominator
kozerog [31]

the common denominator is 10 (between 5 and 2)

for each numerator:

we divide the common denominator with the denominator of each fraction and then multiply with the numerator of the fraction

first fraction's numerator:

10 (c.d.) : 5 (denominator) = 2

2 * 2 (numerator) = 4

second one:

10 (c.d.) : 2 (denominator) = 5

5 * 1 (numerator) = 5

The fractions are 4/10 and 5/10

Please help, will give brainlist!
Free_Kalibri [48]

Answer:

(5, 4 )

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the 2 equations

4x + 6y = 44 → (1)

4x + 2y = 28 → (2)

Subtracting (2) from (1) term by term eliminates the term in x, that is

(4x - 4x) + (6y - 2y) = (44 - 28), that is

4y = 16 ( divide both sides by 4 )

y = 4

Substitute y = 4 into either of the 2 equations and solve for x

Substituting y = 4 in (1)

4x + 6(4) = 44

4x + 24 = 44 ( subtract 24 from both sides )

4x = 20 ( divide both sides by 4 )

x = 5

Solution is (5, 4 )
