since this is a special right triangle (45, 45, 90) we can use right triangle rules. Basically, C in my photo is equal to the hypotenuse while A and B are equal to the sides. You can substitute your hypotenuse into the formula I gave you to find x.

B = C / root2

x = root3 / root2
