Exercise 2:
1. My father works for a large company which is located at a large skyscraper in the city centre.
2. His office, which is on the seventh floor, is spacious and bright due to the natural light coming in through the large, full-length windows. It is peaceful too, as a result of its position high in the traffic-filled streets.
3. The interior is very comfortable. Long curtains hang from the ceiling all the way down to the pale pink carpet and there are several potted plants in one corner of the room. My father's wooden desk with its luxurious black leather chairs, is situated at the window, so that he can look out over the city. At his chair, there is a wood-paneled cupboard where he keeps his files.
4. My father's office is a very pleasant working environment and I am sure that working there helps to make his job a lot easier.

Answer: Whatever the content of the things we say, it's our tone that communicates what we're feeling when we say them. Our tone tells the truth even when our words don't, even when we're unaware of that truth ourselves. And it's our tone to which others respond. We can even say "I love you" in a way that provokes bitterness and then innocently argue we're being unfairly attacked when the person to whom we've said it quite rightly responds to our tone rather than our words.
Explanation:
A writer's tone is very important, as it conveys a particular message from you as the writer and likewise affects the reader in a particular way. Consequently, it can also affect how the reader receives the message you are communicating.
