The correct answer is - B. Both appropriated cultural traditions from multiple sources.

Both the Tuareg culture, and the Candomble faith, are combinations of mutliple sources of influence over the time.

The Tuareg culture is found in North Africa, and it is practiced by people of Barber descent, but are largely Muslim, so over time, they managed to merge the old Barber culture with the Muslim practices, and created a unique culture.

The Candomble originates from the 19th century form the territory of Salvador, and it is a mixture of African and Latino elements, that merged very well, and gave rise to something new, interesting, and unique.

Latin Americans have created different elevation zones to describe the climates that they live in. Which of the following patter
Paul [167]

Answer:

D. tierra caliente, tierra templada, tierra fria, tierra helada.

Explanation:

The Latin American region has its own unique names for the elevation zones based on the climate. The lowest of them is the tierra caliente, characterized with lowlands and hills covered with dense tropical forests, and hot weather. The tierra caliente is the second, located between 1,000 and 2,000 meters, being still part of the tropical climate, but being cooler and more pleasant, which is why there are lot of big cities on this elevation. The tierra fria is located further up, up to 3,000 meters, and it is colder, dominated with grasslands, and the living conditions are not the best. The top elevation zone is the tierra helada, located in the highest parts of the Andes, being dominated by barren mountain slopes, strong winds, and cold climate.

Which of the following strategies would best help a city combat a growing urban heat island?
GarryVolchara [31]

Answer:

D). Combat the overuse of asphalt and concrete surfaces.

Explanation:

Urban Heat is characterized as the circumstance in which a particular urban area has a considerably increased temperature because of specific human activities. As per the question, the most adequate strategy to assist a city in fighting the battle against the increasing 'urban heat island' would be to '<u>avoid the excessive use of surfaces made of concrete and asphalt</u>.' The key reason behind this is that 'asphalt and concrete surfaces tend to possess an extremely higher heating capacity' and thus, it absorbs heat from the sun and causing the land temperatures to reach higher till 60° celsius. Therefore, preventing the overuses of such surfaces would be the most adequate strategy to keep the temperatures in control. Hence, <u>option D</u> is the correct answer.
