Answer: The missing step is Statement: m\angle 4 = m\angle 16, Reason: Transitive Property of Equality.

Explanation:

According to the given diagram ⇒ \angle 4\cong \angle8 and \angle 8\cong \angle16 (for parallel lines cut by transversal, corresponding angles are congruent)

⇒ m\angle 4= m\angle8 -------(1) (definition of congruent angles)

and m\angle 8= m\angle16 ---------(2) (definition of congruent angles)

From equation (1) and (2) m\angle 4 = m\angle 16 (Transitive Property of Equality)---(3)

Now, By linear pair theorem, \angle 15 and \angle 16 are supplementary angles.

Therefore, \angle 15+\angle 16=180 degree ------(4)

From equation (4) and (3),

\angle 15+\angle 4=180 degree

⇒\angle 15 and \angle 4 are supplementary angles.

Kenji packed an exercise ball into a cylindrical package . How much space does the package occupy in terms of pi . Enter your an
grandymaker [24]

Answer:

The space that the package would occupy is 45\pi cubic feet.

Step-by-step explanation:

The space that the package occupies is the volume of the cylinder. The volume of an object is the 3 dimensional capacity of the object.

Volume of a cylinder = \pir^{2}h

where: r is the radius and h is the height of the cylinder.

Given that; h = 5 feet and r = 3 feet.

The required volume = \pi × (3)^{2} × 5

                                   = \pi × 9 × 5

                                  = 45\pi cubic feet

The space that the package would occupy is 45\pi cubic feet.

Smallest of 3 consecutive positive intergers if the product of the smaller two intergers is 5 less than 5 times the largest inte
amm1812

What a delightful little problem ! (Partly because I could see
right away how to do it, and had the answer in a few minutes,
after a lot of impressive-looking algebra on my scratch-paper.)

Three consecutive integers are . . . x, x+1, and x+2

The smallest two are . . . x and x+1
    Their product is . . . . . x(x+1)

5 times the largest one is . . . 5(x+2)
      5 less than that is . . . . . . 5(x+2)-5

Now, the conditions of the problem say that x (x + 1) = 5 (x+2) - 5
THAT's the equation we have to solve, to find 'x' .

       Eliminate parentheses: x² + x = 5x + 10 - 5
            Combine like terms: x² + x = 5x + 5
Subtract 5x from each side: x² - 4x = 5
Subtract 5 from each side: x² - 4x - 5 = 0

You could solve that by factoring it, or use the quadratic equation.

Factored, it says that (x + 1) (x - 5) = 0

From which x = -1
             and x = +5

We only want the positive results, so our three consecutive integers are

             5, 6, and 7 .

To answer the question, the smallest one is 5 .

Check:

   5 x 6 ? = ? (7 x 5) - 5

       30 ? = ? (35) - 5

         30   =   30

             yay !

maggi buys 3/4 pounds of blueberry and uses 3/5 to make a smoothie how many pounds of blueberrys did mggi use to make a smoothie
MrRa [10]

Answer:

0.45pound

Step-by-step explanation:

Since it's given Maggi buys 3/4 pounds of blueberry,it's means 3/4*1 .i.e. 0.75 pound and he uses 3/5 of 0.75 pound then it would be 3/5*0.75 .ie 0.45 pound

Shawn owns The Muffin mobile food truck. He goes home after he sells more than 200 muffins. He began the day with a big 36 muffi
lys-0071 [83]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

he sold 36 so lets subtract that from the 200 so he has to sell 164 more.

Now we have to figure out what times 24 is 164

It is about 7 because 24 x 7 = 28 and if he needs to sell mORE THAN it can't be 6 so it is 7 hours.
