Scout associates reading with something as to a necessity, and compares it to air which is basically what we need to survive and states that one does not love breathing. (which is the analogy) and to sum it all up scout loves reading and in all means doesn't think she could survive without it

If there is no shelter nearby, get down near an interior wall or next to low-lying furniture that won't fall on you, and cover your head and neck with your arms and hands. ... HELPPP!!! identify one of the puns that poe uses in the cask of amontillado
expeople1 [14]

Answer:

To build suspense in the story, Poe often employs foreshadowing. For example, when Fortunato says, “I shall not die of a cough,” Montresor replies, “True,” because he knows that Fortunato will in fact die from dehydration and starvation in the crypt.

Did you finish writing yet? is this a participle or a gerund? pls help
AfilCa [17]

Answer:

Explanation:

Present participle phrases and gerund phrases are easy to confuse because they both begin with an ing word. The difference is the function that they provide in a sentence. A present participle phrase will always act as an adjective while a gerund phrase will always behave as a noun.

It is more suitable to use the gerund form of the verb following the main verb, if the main verb is in the past tense (here, "finish")
