Russell Conwell was a baptist minister, the first president of Temple University and a captain during the Civil War. At the ten year reunion of his troops, he delivered the Acres of Diamonds speech. He was asked to deliver the speech thousands of times in cities all over the world. Ticket sales paid for his travel and accommodations. The remaining money he sent back to Temple, where it paid for the education of nearly 2000 students.

The speech is a commentary on attitudes toward money and wealth. It urges the audience to discover the wealth in front of them rather than search far off places in vain or believe that success is unattainable.

Can you help me? What do u think about "Overuse of the internet can lead to social problems for teenagers". Give me PLEASE 2 rea
Diano4ka-milaya [45]

2 reasons i agree,

1: When teenagers have to get a job, they will not be used to face to face contact, which could make them have more struggles in interviews.

2: people can easily ignore the world around them when they are on there phones, they will not be used to the outside world when they turn 18.

2 reasons i disagree.

1: Some people can balance there life and there cell phones, and they can get more used to calling people, and get more used to finding there way around on there phone, to there GPS when it comes in handy.

2: Teenagers can have friends online, they can talk to people more, maybe in group chats using the voice options- and get better at speaking to people.

I hope this helps!!

A _________, static character stays the same even though there is conflict in the story.
Reil [10]

The answer is: A flat static character stays the same even though there is conflict in the story.

This means that the character does not develop or change or is effected by events that take place in the story, they remain the same. Their personality does not change throughout the story. They are relatively uncomplicated characters.

argumentative essay about why the federal government needs stricter gun laws rather than state gun laws
KIM [24]
Well! You've got a strong topic, now you just need to get your template down. It's an argumentative essay, so you're going to want an attention-grabbing introduction with your thesis statement. You're going to want body paragraphs that explain both sides of the debate, and then try to convince the reader that your side (the federal gov side) is the best position to take. Wrap it up with a conclusion and voila!

One of your points may be that federal power covers all 50 states, meanwhile state gun laws only govern the individual state. Strict gun laws in Illinois don't matter if it's only a two hour drive to Indiana where they have much looser laws.
