It is C. Where are Katelyn and Ella walking to?

EXPLANATION:

The sentence “Where are Katelyn and Ella walking to?” is not correct and must be revised. The preposition “to” needs to be eliminated. The use of the preposition “to” after the word “walking” is redundant because the meaning of the question without the preposition “to” is already conveyed the meaning without the preposition.

Prepositions are short words showing the relationship between a noun and a pronoun, or a noun and a pronoun to other words or phrases in a sentence. Prepositions serve as the link that connects objects, people, locations, and time of a sentence. Prepositions are commonly short words which are positioned directly in front of nouns. In using the prepositions, we have to stick to the rules of the use of it. There are two rules when using prepositions: use prepositions to make the sentence clear and place prepositions right before the pronouns or nouns.

There are three types of prepositions: place preposition, time preposition, and direction preposition. Examples of place prepositions are against, around, and between. Examples of time preposition are until, before, during, and after. Examples of direction preposition are down, up¸ and across.

Here are the examples of the use of preposition in a sentence:

• I was born in 1998

• We won’t leave before 7 am

• My bag is on the table

• James traveled across Africa

The sentence that must be revised to eliminate the preposition at the end is C) Where are Katelyn and Ella walking to?

Prepositions are short words that generally show a relationship between a noun or pronoun and other words in the sentence. In this sentence, the use of the preposition to at the end of the question is unnecessary because it is redundant; that is to say, the meaning of the question is already conveyed without the preposition.

Illustrators. By definition, illustrators demonstrate the verbal messages they accompany. Waving a hand to say "hello" is an example of an illustrator. Illustrators are also used to communicate dimensions or direction. When asked to describe the length or width of an object, a person might hold out her hands or separate her thumb and forefinger to illustrate the measurement.
