If we translate the facts into location equations, xM=Mona's location, xL=Lina's location, then we get:

xM(t) = 300t
xL(t) = v*t - 1000
xM(10)=xL(10)

Where v is Lina's speed we have to find.

Plugging them all together gives:

300*10 = 10v - 1000

Which can be solved:

3000 + 1000 = 10v
4000 = 10v
v=400

Lina should skate at 400 feet per minute!

All angles on a triangle add up to 180. If it's a right triangle it would be set up like this: 90+3x-4=6x-5=180. You would subtract 90 from 180 and get 90 left. 3x-4+6x-5=90. Then you would add 5 and 4 to 90.....3x+6x=99. Then you add 3x and 6x then you would be left with 9x=99. Divide 99 by 9 and you get x=11.

Find the balance on a deposit of $455 that earns 4% interest compounded annually for 2 years. $36.40 $491.40 $492.13 $819
STatiana [176]
A=P(1+ \frac{r}{n})^{tn}
A=future amount
P=present amount
r=rate in decimal
n=number of times per year compounded
t=time in years

given
P=455
r=4%=0.04
n=1
t=2

A=455(1+ \frac{0.04}{1})^{(2)(1)}
A=455(1+ 0.04)^{2}
A=455(1.04)^{2}
A=492.128

The sides OP and RO of triangle POR are produced to points S and T respectively. If ∠SPR = 145° and ∠POT = 115° , find ∠PRO
Margarita [4]

Answer:

\angle PRQ = 80

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

\angle SPR = 145^o

\angle POT = 115^o

See attachment

Required

Find \angle PRO

First, calculate \angle RPO

\angle RPO + \angle SPR = 180 --- angle on a straight line

So, we have:

\angle RPO + 145 = 180

Collect like terms

\angle RPO = 180 - 145

\angle RPO = 35

Next, calculate PQR

\angle POR + \angle POT = 180

So, we have:

\angle POR + 115 = 180

Collect like terms

\angle POR = 180-115

\angle POR = 65

So, PRO is calculated as:

\angle PRO + \angle POR + \angle RPO = 180 --- angles in a triangle

So, we have:

\angle PRO + 65 + 35= 180

\angle PRO + 100= 180

Collect like terms

\angle PRO = 180-100

\angle PRO = 80
