Should it not be 5/9?
Multiply both sides by 9/5
(9/5) * C = F - 32
Add 32
(9/5)*C + 32 = F

A very quick way to get an estimate is to use this formula which can almost be done in your head.
C = 40
2*C + 30 = F
2*40 + 30 = F
80 + 30 = F
110 = F

Choose a system of equations with the same solution as the following system: 6x + 2y = −6 3x − 4y = −18
jeka57 [31]

Answer:

I do know that y = 3 and that x = -2, so any system that has that solution is correct.

Step-by-step explanation:

Multiplying the second equation by -2 and adding the equations will cancel out the x variable. The remaining equation is:

10y = 30. Therefore, y must be 3. Substituting y in for the first equation, we get:

6x + 6 = -6. That means x must be -2. I checked my work with the second equation:

-6 - 12 = -18.

The system results in a true statement, so the answer is y = 3 and x = -2.

What is the solution set for the given inequality if the replacement set for r is {5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10}?
Sophie [7]
Hi there! The answer is B.

5r \leqslant 6r - 8
Subtract 6r from both sides.

- r \leqslant  - 8
Divide both sides of the inequality by -1. Remember that dividing by a negative makes the sign flip.

r \geqslant 8
Therefore, the solution must be bigger than or equal to 8. From the given solution set, the answer is B. {8, 9, 10}

~ Hope this helps you!

They get ten times smaller, so you could say a number is getting divided by ten or the decimal point is moving to the left one place value.
