Elisa "cries like an old woman" because she is absolutely crushed because she realizes that she has been duped by the tinker and that he was not interested in her chrysanthemums at all. He had only pretended to be interested in Elisa talking about them in order to get some business from her (some pots to mend). What had been an awakening of emotions for Elisa was now a huge disappointment. Elisa realizes that she simply cannot be anyone different from who she is on her little farm with her husband. She is "trapped" there and will never be able to get her husband to see the aesthetic beauty of her flowers that she loves so much.

Read Marie’s conclusion to her personal statement.
RideAnS [48]

The answer is C: I’m ready to try more advanced work to reach my programming goals.

In any personal statement, it is important to demonstrate your skills, and, above all, your goals in order to close the gap between the writer and the reader. Without missing the basic norms of exposition, that is to say, without lacking modesty, the writer should be able to show that she can tackle new challenges with joy and perseverance, like in this example, Marie´s statement shows.

Helga [31]

Answer:It is the participial phrase – brimming with water. Here, the sentence is formed with the help of a modifier such as a noun phrase, pronoun, or even a noun. For instance, brimming is using the rainwater as the modifier to explain the action that is done. Here open barrel will be the noun.
