In the case of Plessy V. Ferguson, the supreme court stated that Browns/Blacks and White people cannot attend the same schools.

In the case of Brown Vs the board of education, the supreme court stated that segregating Browns/Blacks and White people is unconstitutional.

The Brown decision in 1954 was a landmark because it overturned the legal policies established by the Plessy v. Ferguson decision that legalized the practices of “separate but equal”.
