Evaluate the expression 2n - 6 if n = 16.
V125BC [204]

Answer:

26

Step-by-step explanation:

2n-6

Given that:

n=16

To evaluate the expression, we must simply substitute the given value of n, which is 16, for n:

2(16)-6

Multiply:

32-6

Subtract:

26

-

To check your work, simply set the given expression equal to our solution, 26:

2n-6=26

Add 6 to both sides of the equation:

2n=32

Divide both sides of the equation by the coefficient of n, which is 2:

n=16

Since it matches the given value of n, our solution is correct!

Alana's total amount of money can be expressed as (total bags raked) x d~
To find the total number of bags raked, you multiply the number of days by the no. of bags raked per day~

This should bring you to the answer--if you need further steps, tell me and I'll guide you through :)

The dot plot below represents the number of dollars in allowance that students receive each week in Mrs. Jimenez’s class. What i
jarptica [38.1K]

So they get $2 on day 0, $2 on day 2, $3 on day 4, $5 on day 5, $2 on day 6, $1 on day 7, $2 on day 8, $4 on day 10, $1 on day 11, $2 on day 12 and $1 on day 15.

$2 appears 5 times

$1 appears 3 times

$4 appears once and $5 appears once

The median would be ($2*5 + $1*3 + $4 + $5)/(5+3+1+1) = $22/10 = $2.2

The range of the allowances is highest - lowest = $5-$1 = $4

Edit: It might also have a range of $5 and a median of $1.37 because the lowest it goes to is $0 on some days though. Try both.
