Read the sentence from the section "Capitalism."
mojhsa [17]

Answer:

Capitalism was built on the exploitation and suffering of black slaves and continues to thrive on the exploitation of the poor”

Explanation:

King understood well the connection between poverty and capitalism. The year before his death, on 31 August 1967, he delivered “The Three Evils of Society” speech at the first and only National Conference on New Politics in Chicago.

When we foolishly maximize the minimum and minimize the maximum we sign the warrant for our own day of doom.It is this moral lag in our thing-oriented society that blinds us to the human reality around us and encourages us in the greed and exploitation which creates the sector of poverty in the midst of wealth. Again we have deluded ourselves into believing the myth that Capitalism grew and prospered out of the protestant ethic of hard word and sacrifice. The fact is that Capitalism was build on the exploitation and suffering of black slaves and continues to thrive on the exploitation of the poor—both black and white, both here and abroad. . .The way to end poverty is to end the exploitation of the poor.

That’s the kind of analysis that made King so controversial in mainstream circles in his later years, and that has remained buried for the past 50 years under the exclusive focus on dreams and mountaintops.

lana [24]

Answer:

In the United States, people are chosen for various government positions based on receiving most of the votes. This distribution system is called "majority rule".

Explanation:

The principle of plurality is a judgment rule which selects alternatives with a plurality, that is,above half the votes. This is the conditional decision rule most commonly used in powerful decision-making frames includes all democratic nation assemblies.

Minority rights are human rights which are granted to all, even though they are not a part of the majority. Such rights can not be revoked with a simple vote. In the United States, the Bill of Rights, which was developed by James Madison, preserves civil liberties, as well as the privileges of individuals and individual states.

what problems caused the government to create the interstate commerce comission and the sherman antitrust act? what were the lon
Slav-nsk [51]
I don't know too much about the commerce commission but the sherman antitrust act was created due to bad trusts abusing their powers of having national power over a certain product and therefore holding a monopoly and a sort of dictatorship in a certain field. The sherman antitrust act was the first time the government officially intervened with private businesses and laborers. Pretty much the trusts overworked workers and skyrocketed prices and people complained. I'm blanking on the word for when "the government doesn't interfere with private businesses" but the government finally interfered with this act.
