Potato, Tomato and corn were the plants that were introduced to Europe from the Americas.

The era of Columbian exchange was the era in which there was transfer of Plants, Animals, Culture as well as technology and sharing of ideas between America, West Africa, along with old world countries during  15th and 16th century. Several plants that were known to be native to Americans were spread all over the world and the plants which were transferred all over the world were Corn, Potato, Maize, Tomato and Tobacco.

It was the period of 19th century, when potatoes were found in nearly every area of Europe as well as India but before that period, Potatoes were mainly imported to Europe and India from South America as Potatoes were not grown outside South America. Potatoes soon became a part of daily diet for the people of Europe and India as well as North America and if we talk about Tomatoes on the other hand, They were mainly grown only in Italy and it took around three centuries for its introduction in Europe and been widely accepted.
