The Catholic Church condemned the list and asked the writer to recant it.

In 1517, Martin Luther posted his 95 Theses to the door of All Saints' Church in Wittenberg, Germany.

The Catholic Church declared Luther's theses to be heretical. Since Luther did not retract his positions, he was excommunicated.

Whi his ninety five theses,  Luther questioned the Catholic Church's sale of indulgences to reduce punishment in Purgatory for sins and claimed that faith led to salvation.

1.Why did the principles outlined in the Declaration of independence inspire revolutions in other parts of the world?
PSYCHO15rus [73]
  1. The Declaration of Independence has also been a source of inspiration outside the United States. It encouraged Antonio de Nariño and Francisco de Miranda to strive toward overthrowing the Spanish empire in South America, and it was quoted with enthusiasm by the marquis de Mirabeau during the French Revolution.
  2. The Americans' victory over the British may have been the single greatest impact on the French Revolution. The French people saw that a revolt could be successful – even against a major military power – and lasting change was possible. Many experts argue that this gave them the motivation to rebel
  3. Both want a change from being ruled by an absolute ruler, both have economic instability from war debt, both have social inequality. And also, both started because of enlightenment ideas

These revolutions were influenced by the French Revolution of 1789, which would come to represent a new concept of human rights, universal citizenship, and participation in government.

Why did the Republican Party favor restrictions on immigration in the 1920s?
Komok [63]

Answer:

To preserve the ideal of American identity

Explanation:

Beginning at the end of the 19th century, immigration into the United States went high. Many of these new immigrants came from eastern and southern Europe. Many immigrants with different languages, customs, and religions caused anxiety and racial hostility. The sense of fear and concern over the rising of immigration led the Republican Party in 1920 to put restrictions.
