Explanation:

The oocyte, or unfertilized egg first leaves the ovary via fimbrea and enters the uterine tubes for ovulation. If the oocyte does not become fertilized and transition then to an ovum, then menstruation begins.

This is the process which the oocyte and lining of the uterus (endometrium) is shed! Where it passes through the cervix and exits via the vaginal canal
