Explanation:

The way elections worked was the wealthy and important basically ran the government, considering there weren’t many of them in a town/state. They usually elected the wealthier or more well-known candidates. When everyone else could vote, rich or poor, important or not known at all, since the poor were the majority at the time of the constitution’s creation, they elected a leader that was like them and that they thought was best for the majority. The most likely a better use of David's time in order to prepare for teaching highschool students regarding the American history, is to go to museums alongside studying. Going to museum may be a better way of acquiring historical knowledge that is embedded in the replicas and the remains of ancient objects.
