Yellow:blue is a ratio of 2:3, meaning that 2/5 of the desired mixture is yellow. From this, you need to find how much yellow is necessary for 20 ounces. Well, 2/5 of the 20 ounces will be yellow paint, while the other 3/5 will be blue. So she will need 8 ounces of yellow paint to get 20 ounces of the desired mixture. Hope this helps! :)

3 ounces of blue paint added with 2 ounces of yellow you would get 5 onces

Then you divide 20 by 5 you get 4
Then multiply 4 by 2 ounces you get 8

Sheila will need 8 ounces of of yellow paint for the new mixture.

Please help me with this geometry question:((
Len [333]

Answer:

x = 13

Arc RQ = 180°

Step-by-step explanation:

PEQ is an inscribed angle and the measure of an inscribed angle in a circle is equal to half of the arc it sees.

The perimeter of a circle is always 360° therefore

2 × (5x + 15) + 9x + 17 + 6x - 12 = 25x + 35 = 360°

25x = 360 - 35

25x = 325

x = 13

Since arc RQ is equal to 10x + 30 we replace x with the value we just got

10×13 + 30 = 160°

Solve this application problem using a system of equations: Dan and June mix two kinds of feed for pedigreed dogs. They wish to
wlad13 [49]

Answer:

50 pounds

Step-by-step explanation:

Dan and june mix two kind of feed for pedigreed dogs

Feed A worth is $0.26 per pound

Feed B worth is $0.40 per pound

Let x represent the cheaper amount of feed and y the costlier type of feed

x+y= 70..........equation 1

0.26x + 0.40y= 0.30×70

0.26x + 0.40y= 21.........equation 2

From equation 1

x + y= 70

x= 70-y

Substitutes 70-y for x in equation 2

0.26(70-y) + 0.40y= 21

18.2-0.26y+0.40y= 21

18.2+0.14y= 21

0.14y= 21-18.2

0.14y= 2.8

Divide both sides by the coefficient of y which is 0.14

0.14y/0.14= 2.8/0.14

y= 20

Substitute 20 for y in equation 1

x + y= 70

x + 20= 70

x= 70-20

x = 50

Hence Dan and june should use 50 pounds of the cheaper kind in the mix
