Answer:

inelastic

Explanation:

Supply price elasticity aims to measure the supply sensitivity of a good in the face of price changes. The calculation consists of dividing the percentage change in quantity (1) by the percentage change in price (2).

If the calculated elasticity is greater than 1, we say that the supply of the good is elastic - price sensitive.

If the elasticity is between 0 and 1, we say it is inelastic - little sensitive to percentage change.

(1) ΔQ/Q= ( 423,000 - 657,150) / 423,000 = -0,55

(2) ΔP/P = (286 - 732) /286 =  -1,55

(3) (ΔQ/Q)/(ΔP/P) = -0,55/-1,55 = 0,35

In the case in question, the elasticity found was 0.35, which is less than 1, so the supply of squash is inelastic to the price.

maxonik [38]

Answer:

best efforts

Explanation:

As it name suggests, a best efforts IPO takes place when an underwriter cannot commit completely to a client because the market interest in the firm is not certain. So the underwriter "promises" to make its best effort to carry out a successful IPO, but cannot guarantee it. On the other hand, when the market interest is very large, underwriters themselves purchase the entire IPO  through a firm commitment IPO.

The number at the bottom right of each supplier’s box shows the portion of Boeing’s costs in thelast year that went to that supp

Answer:

  • United Continental with a capital expenditure of 60.68%
  • Southwest Airlines with a capital expenditure of 51.38%

Explanation:

Since United Continental's purchases of Boeing planes represent over 60% of their capital expenditures, this means that Boeing had to be the primary plane supplier. Even if the company purchased planes form other manufacturer, their purchases would not even be 40% of the company's purchases.

The same applies to Southwest Airlines, even though the purchases from Boeing are a little lower, they are still over 51%. This means the company could not have spent more money on purchasing planes from another company. The maximum purchase from another airplane manufacturer would have been less than 49% at most.

Besides the previous analysis, you must also consider that the company spends money on things besides airplanes, e.g. new training facilities, equipment, computer software, other vehicles, etc.

Compute the takt time for a system where the total time per shift is 370 minutes, there is one shift, and workers are given 3 11
Pie

Answer:

Talk time= 0.88 minutes.

Explanation:

The talk time is the time that is used by employees talking on one phone call. This is calculated by getting the time spent on calls in a day. The call time is now divided by the daily demand of calls.

In the given instance there is only one shift of 370 minutes.

Break given is 3*11= 33 minutes

Lunch break is 35 minutes.

So remaining time= 370-33-35= 302 minutes.

Talk time = Time per shift/Daily demand

Talk time= 302/342

Talk time= 0.883 minutes.
