The eligibility requirements for the persons selected for the position of Senators is that they should be at least 30 years old, be a resident of the state they have chosen and be a citizen for at least 9 years.

The eligibility criteria established by the Constitution for the position of the President is that the person should be a native-born in the US, a resident of US for 14 years and should be at least 35 years of age.</span>
