Due to the fact that a rainforest contains swamps, jungle, land, tree and underground life options for a wide variety of animals, that opens the door for more animals to come in and live in the rainforest.

The climate is adaptable and easy to get to know (to animals), so that will cause animals to stay and populate in certain areas.

A temperate forest does not contain many options for where to live. yes, there are many options with what we have, but the range for what animal can live in the temperate rainforest is very specific. If you are a water animal, you can't live here. If you are a really big animal, you can't live here. If you are a slow animal, you can't live here.

Everything depends on habitat, ecosystem, land and climate.
