Industries such a beer are very dependent on alcoholic fermentation. The alcoholic fermentation process allows the yeast (which is used to make beer) to convert simple sugars into ethanol and carbon dioxide. Another industry that is dependent on this process if bakeries. People that make bread need this process because in this process the yeast cells break down the sugar into carbon dioxide and water. Then each yeast cell form a center around carbon dioxide bubbles that form. This makes the bread increase in size and rise as each yeast cell fills up with carbon dioxide/gas.
