Which option will be most cost effective?why?

Mathematics

Option 2 would cost more, because $42 for every 6 person, and there are 72 in total, so let's do the math. take the 72 and divide it by 6 to know how many pair of $42 you gonna spend. 72/6 is 12, and 12x$42 is $504. and the first option is $500 flat. so option 1 is the best option, cause at any time one of the guess might want to invite a random person, so you'd have to pay for every 6 person a guess on your list bring. while paying $500 flat wouldn't affect your paying rates.

Construct an argument that shows that the set of rational numbers is closed under division. That is, if x and y are
masha68 [24]

Answer:

\frac{x}{y} can also be expressed as a ratio of two integers.

Step-by-step explanation:

Assume x and y are rational number, then x and y can be written as:

x=\frac{a}{b}, where a and b are integers and b≠0

y=\frac{c}{d}, where c and d are integers and d≠0

Then,

\frac{x}{y} = \frac{\frac{a}{b} }{\frac{c}{d} }

= \frac{a*d}{b*c}

Since the set of integers are closed under multiplication, a*d is also an integer. Similarly b*c is also an integer.

\frac{x}{y} can be expressed as a proportion of two integers, provided that y≠0. From this we can conclude that \frac{x}{y}  is a rational number, which concludes that the set of rational numbers are closed under division.

An engineer has designed a valve that will regulate water pressure on an automobile engine. The valve was tested on 290 engines
Nana76 [90]

Answer:

z(s) =  - 2,15 We accept H₀

Step-by-step explanation:

Assume Normal Distribution.

Sample size                  n = 290

Sample mean               μ = 7,6

Sample standard deviation   s = 0,8

Level of significance  0,02   ( CI = 98 % )

population mean  μ₀ = 7,5

α = 0,02       the valve could fail under and above the spec value ( 7,6 ) therefore we must develop a two-tail test

α/2  =  0,01

Hypothesis Test

Null hypothesis                                      H₀       μ   =  μ₀

Alternative Hypothesis                         Hₐ        μ   ≠  μ₀

for  α  =  0,01    z(c)  = - 2,3

To calculate  z(s)

z(s)  =  ( μ   -  μ₀ ) / s/√n

z(s)  =  ( 7,5 - 7,6 ) /0,8/√290

z(s) = - 0,1 * 17 /0,8

z(s) =  - 1,7 / 0,8

z(s) =  - 2,15

Comparing   z(s)  and  z(c)

- 2, 15  < - 2,3

|z(s)|  <  | z(c)|

Then z(s) is in the acceptance region. We don´t have evidence to reject H₀

Natali5045456 [20]

Answer:

The number generator is not fair. In most of the experiments, considerably less than 60% of the selected marbles are green.

Step-by-step explanation:

Run a significant number of times, a fair distribution should be a bell curve  centered on the 6 for 60%
