The answer is 240 because 11 x 8 is 88 but you divide by 2 since it's a triangle so you get 44 and since there's 4 triangles you do 44 x 4 and get 176 then 8 x 8 is 64 plus 176 is 240

Convert 7/8 to a decimal. Then state if it is a terminating or repeating decimal.
ladessa [460]

7/8 = 0.875

it is a terminating decimal, because it ends, unlike a repeating decimal, which goes on forever.

Sergeu [11.5K]

Answer:

Part A: 272 teenagers surveyed like hard rock.

Part B: 200 is the total number of teenagers that Damian surveyed.

Part C: Polly surveyed 850 teenagers to find out their favorite type of music. She found that 132% of the teenagers surveyed like hard rock.

Step-by-step explanation:

Part A: % = 1/100, 32% = 32/100, so 32% of 850 is

32/100 x 850 = 272.

Part B: if Total is T, then 75% of T is = 150, i.e,

75/100 x T = 150, making T subject of relation, then T, Total = 200.

What are the solution(s) to the quadratic equation 40 - x2 = 0?
Julli [10]

Answer:

x = ±2√10

Step-by-step explanation:

40 - x² = 0

⇌

(√40 - x)(√40 + x) = 0

⇌

x = √40  or  x = -√40

we can go further and say that √40 = 2√10

The radius of the circle is increasing at a rate of 2 meters per minute and the sides of the square are increasing at a rate of
Lunna [17]

Answer:

Change in area=24\pi-48

Step-by-step explanation:

Let s will be the side of square and r will be the radius of circle.

Then two given conditions are

1)dr/dt=2 m/s

2)ds/dt=1 m/s

Area enclosed=(Area of square)-(Area of circle)

Area of square=s^{2}

Area of circle=\pi r^{2}

Area enclosed=(\pi  r^{2})-s^{2}

dA/dt=2\pir(dr/dt)-2s(ds/dt)

At s=24,and r=6

dA/dt=2(\pi)(6)(2)-2(24)(1)

Change in area=24\pi-48
