Remember that a natural log undoes the e, so they cancel each other out and your result is -3.

The high temperature on Friday was 8 degrees above zero. The low temperature was 3 degrees below zero. Which expression gives th
olga_2 [115]

Using the mean concept, the expression that gives the average of the low and high temperatures is:

(-3 + 8)/2.

What is the mean?

The mean of a data-set is given by the sum of all observations in the data-set divided by the number of observations.

In this problem, the two observations are -3 and 8, hence their average is given by:

(-3 + 8)/2.

write the equation in standard form of the line that passes through the point (1,26) and has a slope of -0.4
katovenus [111]
The beginning formula that you start with is y=m(x)+b
after the problem is written into the formula your ready to start.

It should look like this:

26y=-0.4(1)+b

to get the entire formula you've gotta find the
y-intercept or "b"

to start solving multiply the "m" by the "x" A.K.A:

-0.4×1

you should come up with the answer -0.4 since everything multiplied by 1 is still the same thing depending on if its positive or negative

after you've finished solving the multiplication part the equation should look slightly different like this:

26y=-0.4+b

the next step is the get "y" by itself since right now is a variable.

also you should always remember what ever process of simplifying by the same number to get rid of it in a "y=m(x)+b" equation should be done the same to the other side

take a look at the "-" sign in front of 0.4 this would mean that you are going to do the oppisite opperation to cancel it out so you would be adding the same number to either side. after adding the -0.4 to itself that would leave "b" by itself the problem should now look like this:

(26y+0.4)=b

forget about the y for now and focus on the (26+0.4)
you should get 26.4=b

insert this into the original equation of "y=m(x)+b" and this should look like this:

y=-0.4(x)+12.4

Solve for y. -15y – -14y = -9
Black_prince [1.1K]

Answer:

9

Step-by-step explanation:

-15 - -14y = -9

two negatives (close together) makes a positive

-15y + 14y = -9

add like terms

-1y = -9

get y alone (divide whats in front of it) and do the same on the other side

-1y/-1 = -9/-1

if you divide two negatives it makes it positive so youll get 9
